Chris Lewis
In a media-world often swamped with music bereft of soul, Chris likes to inject some passion and personality. He is also a self-confessed hook-pusher. Essential qualities in this demanding climate.
He covers many bases from all pop, rock and dance genres to orchestral themes and electronic sound-scapes. Chris also can’t resist a cheeky slab of pastiche. He recently had a lot of fun recreating the darker sound of the 80’s for a recent film. Along with his sampler, he loves playing real instruments, especially guitar, but will also draft in other live musicians when desired.
Since gaining a Music For The Media diploma, Chris has scored several short films and contributed two big-beat tracks to the feature film Neil’s Party. Chris is in good company with the likes of Norman Cook and Vince Clarke having also worked for respected sample purveyors AMG. His Classic Rock For GarageBand title is among their bestsellers. Other clients includeTummyTouch/BMG Zomba, BBC, Sky Sports and ITV.

|---|---|
Curious Potions Title - Orchestral theme featuring pizzicato strings, glockenspiel and clarinet. Quirky and magical yet slightly twisted. A modern/retro media-friendly waltz. |
Ghost Farm - Sigor Ros inspired indie-band soundscape with shimmering electric guitar, ethereal male vocals and haunting mellotron cello. |
Picnic Theme - Highly optimistic and up-tempo folky foot-tapper. Ukulele and a whistled hook make for a super-catchy sunny backdrop. |
The Lake T itle - Pastiche of the likes of Echo And The Bunnymen, this guitar-driven 80’s indie instrumental is a joyride fuelled by teenage angst. |
The Lake Piano Bed - Perfectly at home in either film or documentary. A heavily reverbed piano provides a classic poignant theme while a distorted electronic ‘heartbeat’ underpins the contemporary feel. |
The Missing Trailer - Hollywood blockbuster style, big production thriller/horror trailer score. Lots of tension from cymbal-scrapes and huge metal clangs. And not forgetting the trusty violins for that spine-chilling crescendo. |
9mm - Stylish CSI style tension-build and resolve. Brooding strings and unnerving electronica build the tension, then atmospheric pads provide the resolve. |
Trouble Cat - Jazzy breakbeats, trumpet squeals and piano rolls compliment the nifty guitar hook on this up-tempo stomper. |
